The Secretary General of the Muslim World League receives a phone call from the Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs after stopping the burning of corpses of Corona deaths

He thanked Sri Lanka’s response to the League’s request to stop burning the corpses of Muslim Corona victims

His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, received a phone call from His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Gunawardena, and the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister explained that the Sri Lankan government agreed to the League’s request to stop burning the bodies of dead Muslims in accordance with Islamic procedures.

While Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Sri Lankan government responded to the League’s request not to burn the dead of Muslims infected with Covid 19 in accordance with Sharia provisions, stressing that this would strengthen the close relationship between the Muslim World League, with what it represents as a global reference for Islamic peoples and the Sri Lankan government.
