Zamalek club received, in an official letter, from the International Federation of Football Association, notifying it of imposing a fine of one million dollars towards the club, to be paid to Ghanaian player Benjamin Achimbong, the former team's striker, in the value of his dues at the White Castle.
FIFA's speech to Zamalek stated that the club must pay the dues of Achimbong before March 30, otherwise the penalties against the club will be doubled.
After the arrival of the letter, Zamalek club officials decided to write to the International Federation and request the reasons for the ruling issued against the club, in preparation for filing an appeal against the ruling at the International Sports Court in the coming period, as the club refuses to surrender in this case.
In the same regard, the officials of the Football Association confirmed that the power of attorney of Ashimbong with his Egyptian agent is valid and is not expired as it is reported, and the officials of Jabalia clarified that the International Federation of Professional Players made sure of this after inquiring about this matter from the Football Association after the settlement of the crisis of late dues to the player.
Ashimbong is trying to prove that he is not aware of the recent settlement between his agent and the Zamalek club, although the settlement was based on a phone call between him and the agent with the right of the agent to speak in the name of the player due to the existence of a documented and legal agency contract.
The Football Association acquitted Zamalek from the suspicion of fraud in the crisis of settling the dues of the former team's Benjamin Achimbong, after the Football Association received an inquiry from the International Federation of Professional Players about the fact that there is a documented contract between the player and his agent, Nader Al-Sayed.
