The Lebanese authorities found the bodies of 4 Syrian citizens, in the hillsides of the town of Ainata in the Bekaa, who were trying to cross from Syria to Lebanon through the border region, and they died due to the cold. The governor of Baalbek-Hermel Bashir Khader said, in his tweet on "Twitter", that they have been found. "On the bodies of the four missing persons in the jurides of Ainata (two women and two children), after strenuous efforts by the civil defense teams, the army and the security forces, all of whom were from the Syrian suburbs, they died due to the bitter cold."
Khadr added, according to "Russia Today", that "an investigation will be opened with the Lebanese person who was previously accompanied by them about whether or not it was a human smuggling issue."
