Biden plans not to renew the ban on temporary worker visas

Sources in the administration of US President Joe Biden revealed yesterday that the White House plans not to renew the ban on temporary employment visas imposed by former US President Donald Trump, which will reopen some jobs in the labor market that Trump stopped during the crisis of the new Corona virus pandemic, according to a newspaper. The New York Times.

The newspaper stated in a report on its website that Trump banned visas for several jobs by an executive order last June, and these jobs included computer programmers, engineers, and students who enter work and study programs alongside seasonal workers in the field of hospitality, explaining that the Trump administration announced at the time that the ban Temporary work visas and another ban on green visas is necessary to protect job opportunities for Americans who have lost their jobs due to the economic damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but several studies have shown that immigrants benefit the economy.

The newspaper noted that Biden, when implementing the Trump ban, said that these restrictions harm the entire nation, as it prevents some family members from joining their relatives and also harms areas that benefit from skills coming from different parts of the world.

The newspaper pointed out that the Biden administration has already lifted Trump's ban on green visas, saying that they "do not advance the interests of the United States of America."
